Peer Review Policy

Created On: 29 June 2025

Peer review is the evaluation of scientific, academic, or professional work by others working in the same field to ensure the publication of high-quality research. In line with our publication policies, IJGR applies a double-blind peer review process, where both reviewer and author identities remain anonymous to ensure objectivity and impartial evaluation.

The peer review process at IJGR is as follows:

- All submissions are initially assessed by the Editor-in-Chief (EIC) for topical relevance and compliance with journal guidelines.

- The EIC assigns each manuscript to at least two reviewers who are experts in the relevant field. Reviewers may include members of the editorial board or external scholars. Authors cannot suggest reviewers but may request the exclusion of specific individuals due to potential conflicts of interest.

- Reviewers are asked to return their evaluations within four weeks. The EIC considers the reviewers' comments and their own assessment when making a decision.

- Based on the combined assessments, the EIC communicates one of the following decisions to the authors: acceptance, acceptance with minor or major revisions, revisions required, or rejection.

 Reviewer comments are provided anonymously.
