The International Journal of Gastronomy Research (IJGR) adheres to internationally recognized principles for open access publishing, copyright management, and licensing. This policy ensures that all published content is freely accessible while safeguarding the intellectual property rights of authors. Our policy is outlined below:

1. Originality and Copyright Policy

IJGR requires that all submitted manuscripts be original works that have not been published elsewhere, in whole or in part. By submitting their work, authors warrant that their manuscript is free from plagiarism and does not infringe upon the rights of third parties.

Upon acceptance, authors retain full copyright of their work, while granting the IJGR a license to publish, distribute, and archive the content in perpetuity. This allows the journal to disseminate research globally while ensuring authors maintain control over their intellectual property.

2. Licensing Terms

All content published by the International Journal of Gastronomy Research (IJGR) is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial (CC BY-NC) License. Authors retain full copyright of their work. By publishing in IJGR, they grant the journal a license to distribute and archive their work under the terms of the CC BY-NC license.

Under this license, users are permitted to:

  • Share: Copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format.
  • Adapt: Remix, transform, and build upon the material.

This license is subject to the following conditions:

  • Non-commercial Use: The material may not be used for commercial purposes.
  • Attribution: Proper credit must be given to the original work, including a link to the license. Any changes made to the material must be clearly indicated.

3. Open Access Policy

The International Journal of Gastronomy Research (IJGR) operates in alignment with internationally recognized open access principles, including those outlined in the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI) and the Berlin Declaration on Open Access. All articles published in the journal are freely available to readers worldwide without any subscription or paywall barriers. This ensures that research is accessible to the global academic community and beyond, promoting knowledge dissemination, collaboration, and the advancement of science.

4. No Article Processing Charges (APC)

The International Journal of Gastronomy Research (IJGR) operates under a Diamond Open Access model. This means that we do not charge any Article Processing Charges (APC) or submission fees to authors. All costs associated with the publication process are covered by the journal, ensuring that both authors and readers have free and unrestricted access to our content. This policy aims to ensure the widest possible dissemination of research by eliminating financial barriers.

5. Archiving and Preservation

To ensure the long-term availability and preservation of published content, IJGR implements robust archiving practices. All articles are archived in British Library, guaranteeing their accessibility and preservation for future generations.
